Wednesday November 1, 11:16 AMVietnam Wins Contract to Export 14,000 Tons of Rice to JapanHANOI, Nov 1 Asia Pulse - Vietnam won a contract to export 14,000 tonnes of rice to Japan with a price of US$562 per tonne at an auction organised by the Japanese government in Tokyo on Oct. 27, according to the Vietnam commercial affairs office in Japan.The contract, the sixth since the beginning of this year, brought the total quantity of Vietnam's rice export to Japan so far this year to 116,078 tonnes, including 3,000 tonnes of sticky rice. Last year, Vietnam sold 79,024 tonnes of rice to Japan, including 80 tonnes of sticky rice. (VNA) |
