Tuesday November 14, 1:03 AM Joaquin Cortes at the Palace The entertainment is called "Joaquin Cortes: Mi Soledad," and it will bring one of Spain's best-known flamenco dancers to Broadway's legendary Palace Theatre. The solo show opens Dec. 12 for a 10-day run at the theater, whose next major tenant, a musical version of the film "Legally Blonde" doesn't arrive until spring. In "Mi Soledad," the 37-year-old Cortes, who will be making his Broadway debut, takes the audience on a 90-minute journey into a man's soul. The piece which combines dances, music and song, had its premiere in 2005 in Mexico City and has since played Madrid, Barcelona, London, Paris, Lisbon, Moscow, Tokyo and other major cities. Cortes started his dance training at 12 and joined the Spanish National Ballet three years later. He formed Joaquin Cortes Ballet Flamenco in 1992. Among his other shows are "Gypsy Passion," "Live" and "De Amor y Odio."
