SBI Holdings plans after-hours stock trading:paper
TOKYO, Dec 4 (Reuters) - Japanese venture capital firm SBI
Holdings Inc. will launch an after-hours stock trading
platform as early as February, having invested some 300 million
yen ($2.6 million) in the project, the Nihon Keizai business
daily reported on Monday.
All domestic stocks listed on Japan's exchanges will be
available for trade from 6 p.m. to 11:50 p.m. (0900-1450 GMT) on
weekdays, the Nihon Keizai said.
The company intends to have both traditional and online
brokerages participate in the trading system, in order to ensure
fair pricing, the paper said.
The move comes after online brokerage kabu.com Securities Co.
Ltd. launched an after-hours trading platform earlier
this year.
