Turkey's Ulker plans IPOs for units in 2007
ISTANBUL, Dec 26 (Reuters) - Leading Turkish food company
Ulker Group plans to list its Ulker Chocolate and Ideal Food
units in 2007, a senior company executive said on Tuesday.
The deals would join several other issues planned for next
year. Airport operator TAV plans to list in early 2007, and
Islamic banks Albaraka Turk and Turkiye Finans -- also
part-owned by Ulker -- could hit the market too.
"We are going to turn Ulker Chocolate into (a limited
company) Ulker Chocolate A.S. and then in 2007 we plan an
initial public offering," Metin Yurdagul, a board member and
spokesman of Ulker Group, told Turkish television CNBC-e.
He also said the group, whose products include cookies,
crackers and Cola Turka, would post sales of around $7.5 billion
this year, above a target of $6.6 billion, and said in 2007 the
figure would rise 5 to 10 percent.
Ulker Food , part of the same group, already lists
on the stock market.
