**HYNIX GAINS AFTER PATENT DEAL WITH TOSHIBA**

Hynix Semiconductor Inc. soared 2.39 percent to 32,100 won after the chip maker signed a cross-licensing pact with Japan's Toshiba Corp. late on Tuesday, to end a string of legal suits on patents.

The companies said Hynix would also supply Toshiba with NAND memory chips used in digital gadgets but did not provide details.
