SEOUL, March 21 (Reuters) - Seoul shares ended marginally lower on Wednesday, erasing early gains, as the firmer won hurt exporters, while disappointed investors booked profits after the benchmark index backed away from resistance at 1,450 points.

The Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) closed at 1,442.85 points, down 0.09 percent.

Hyundai Motor Co. fell 0.29 percent to 67,600 won while Hynix Semiconductor Inc. ended 1.75 percent higher at 31,900 won.
