Matsui gets 2 hits, Okajima solid in 2 innings(Kyodo) _ New York Yankees outfielder Hideki Matsui went 2-for-3 with an RBI and Boston Red Sox left-hander Hideki Okajima threw two scoreless innings in spring training games Saturday.Matsui singled to right twice, one of them driving in a run, and struck out in the Yankees' 4-4, 10-inning tie with the Toronto Blue Jays. Okajima allowed one hit, walked one and struck out two in two solid innings in Boston's 1-1 tie with the Tampa Bay Devil Rays in 10 innings. Seattle Mariners outfielder Ichiro Suzuki went hitless in four at-bats and catcher Kenji Jojima went 1-for-3 with a single in a 5-4 win over the Kansas City Royals. In other action, Colorado Rockies second baseman Kazuo Matsui was 1-for-3 with a stolen base. Chicago White Sox second baseman Tadahito Iguchi was 1-for-4. Texas Rangers reliever Akinori Otsuka worked one scoreless inning. |
