BP - Up GBP0.01 to GBP6.05. UBS raises Brent price forecasts for 2007 to US$67/bbl from US$60, and 2008 to US$66/bbl from US$62.25. Leaves 2009 forecast of US$60/bbl and 2010 US$50/bbl normalised oil price unchanged. Explains changes reflect the impact of a strong 2Q07 and the prospects for a tight 2H07 and broker believes 2008 will share the themes of surprisingly robust demand and relatively constrained supply growth.
ROYAL BANK SCOTLAND - Down GBP0.10 to GBP6.24. Sells Canary Wharf tower block for GBP1bn - the company has sold one of its tower blocks in London's Canary Wharf for GBP1bn to a j/v between Quinlan Private and PropInvest, The Daily Telegraph reports. Quinlan Private and PropInvest have bought 25 Canada Square, currently occupied by US banking giant Citigroup, the paper adds.
BARCLAYS - Down GBP0.04 to GBP6.93. Receives extension for ABN offer document - Says AFM, the Dutch market regulator, has agreed an extension so that an announcement on the availability of the formal offer documentation for ABN Amro can take place on or before 23 July. Adds that good progress continues to be made in relation to the pre-conditions, documentation and regulatory change of control approvals.
France
DANONE - Up EUR 0.93 to EUR 60.95. Kraft in talks to buy biscuits division - FT - Kraft is understood to be in talks to buy the biscuit and cereal products division of the company, owner of the LU, Prince and Tuc biscuit brands, the FT reports. the company's LU biscuits division is reportedly due to meet trade union representatives tomorrow to discuss possible changes.
EDF - Up EUR 1.16 to EUR 81.44. Morgan Stanley ups target to EUR 90 from EUR 60 and keeps overweight. Broker now prices in its [slow and gradual] electricity price convergence scenario within its fundamental value base case. Believes market attention will increasingly focus on the pace of convergence between the company's ARPUs and market levels. Expects EU energy and competition commissioners to give further scrutiny of France's low energy prices.

SOLARWORLD - Up EUR 3.30 to EUR 37.50. To build another integrated solar factory in Freiberg.
QS COMMUNICATIONS - Up EUR 0.23 to EUR 5.03. Wins 1&1 Internet AG as wholesale partner - reportedly.
MERCK - Up EUR 1.21 to EUR 102.51. Sales up 41.7% in first five months to EUR 3.67bn and operating earnings rose 23.5% to EUR 579m, the FTD reports the company's CFO having told a limited number of analysts on a 28 June conference call.
Italy
BANCA POPOLARE - Up EUR 0.56 to EUR 21.90. Good recovery in afternoon trading. After losing ground for most of the day, the newly merged BPVN/BPI entity rebounded, finally celebrating its debut on the stock market. During the morning shares suffered, mainly because of the heavy losses from Banca Italease.
FIAT - Up EUR 0.33 to EUR 22.41. 2Q in-line, Italian market share above 30% - CEO Sergio Marchionne discloses 2Q is in line with objectives and the company's Italian market share has risen above 30%. Moody's analysts expect to raise their rating on the company to investment grade in the mid-term if the company managed to transform current positive trends into organic growth. the company and China's Nanjing Auto plan to revive Nanjing by investing an additional US$390m, state media said on Sunday.
Netherlands
NUMICO - Up EUR 1.00 to EUR 39.53. Rises on report Danone may sell biscuit unit - Following reports that Danone may sell its biscuit unit to Kraft, Credit Suisse notes Danone could use the funds to pay for acquisitions such as the company The analyst reportedly says the company's baby business is a natural extension of Danone's dairy business.
STORK - Up EUR 0.09 to EUR 48.09. Marel stake increase reduces Candover bid success - Icelandic food systems maker Marel has raised its stake in the company to 16.9%, according to regulator AFM. Rabo notes with Marel still interested in buying the company's Food System's, the stake increase reduces the chance of success of the current indicated EUR 47 offer by Candover, which has stated to support the current strategy to keep the three divisions together. Furthermore, broker adds, Aviva, which holds little over 5%, has stated not to accept the current offer as it is deemed at least 10% too low.

NOKIA - Up EUR 0.12 to EUR 20.93. Invests/Selected supplier/Job cuts - Nokia Siemens Networks will invest US$100m over the next three years to strengthen its operations in India. Separately, the new Slovakian mobile network operator, Telefonica O2, has selected Nokia Siemens Networks as the sole supplier of the mobile network that Telefnica O2 launched earlier this year. Also, Nokia Siemens Networks agrees job cuts in Germany to the tune of 2,290.
ALFA LAVAL - Up SEK17.50 to SEK432.50. Acquires AGC Engineering in the US - Co. announces it has entered an agreement to acquire the US company AGC Engineering, which provides sanitary plate heat exchanger service and equipment to the dairy and food processing industries.
CARGOTEC - Up EUR 1.63 to EUR 47.30. Books crane orders in Taiwan EUR 30m - the company's MacGREGOR business area providing marine cargo handling solutions has gained orders for EUR 30m to deliver 42 ship cranes for vessels that will be built in China and in Taiwan. The orders will be added to the 2Q07.
MEKONOMEN - Up SEK3.00 to SEK135.00. Divests property for SEK529m - the company says it has divested its property portfolio, representing 85,000 square metres of floor space, consisting of 45 retail properties and other commercial properties in Sweden and Denmark to French group AXA for SEK529m. The divestment should give an after-tax capital gain of SEK131m, and will be added to 3Q07 order bookings.

TELEFONICA - Down EUR 0.02 to EUR 16.52. Could be fined EUR 100m by Brussels - The European Commission could fine the company EUR 100m this Wednesday due to allegations of unfair competition in the ADSL sector, reports El Pais. The sanction could be the biggest imposed on a telecom group.
Switzerland
NOVARTIS - Down CHF0.70 to CHF68.30. Strikes EUR 270m deal with Intercell - the company will license Intercell's influenza vaccine and will increase its equity stake in the Austrian biotech group to 16.2% from 6.1%.
NESTLE - Up CHF0.75 to CHF466.75... Gets EU okay to buy medical nutrition business from Novartis for US$2.5bn. The permission is subject to conditions.
