Honda says to resume partial production on Tuesday
TOKYO, July 23 (Reuters) - Honda Motor Co. said it
would resume ouput at some of its factories on Tuesday after a
quake-hit supplier restarted production of key parts.
Honda will resume production at its Saitama and Hamamatsu
plants from Tuesday morning and at its Suzuka plant from the
second shift on Tuesday.
Its minivehicle unit Yachiyo Industry Co. will remain shut as
will a car engine line at another factory.
All eight of Japan's carmakers suspended some or all domestic
production after factories of the country's top supplier of
piston rings, Riken Corp. , were hit by an earthquake on
July 16.
