Troika Dialog opens its prices up 1.0 percent to 1.5 percent
as Asian markets trade higher. Russian domestic assets, offering
high growth backed by a strong rouble, are investors' preferred
vehicle. Exporters are likely to join a short-term rally but are
susceptible to concerns over global growth.
Aton brokerage sees markets opening up and liquidity
improving on the Russian market.

IN THE PAPERS [PRESS/RU]:
Vedomosti business daily reports on its front page that
state-controlled oil company Rosneft and
billionaire Oleg Deripaska were Russia's biggest deal makers in
2006 and the first half of 2007, spending $20 billion and $5
billion respectively on mergers and acquisitions.
Vedomosti also reports that Aeroflot will pay
$5.81 billion for 44 aircraft from Boeing and Airbus
-- a significant discount from their market price of $7
billion.
The newspaper also carries an interview with Kirill Pisarev,
president of property developer PIK Group, in which he says
proceeds from a June IPO will be used to acquire new projects
and to pay off some of the company's debt of about $800 million.
Kommersant business daily reports on its front page that
state arms trader Rosoboronexport is creating a company to
modernise refuelling depots in Russian airports.
