Samsung wins $1.1 bln plant order from Thailand PTT
SEOUL, Sept 9 (Reuters) - South Korea's Samsung Engineering
& Construction Co said on Sunday it had received a
$1.1 billion order from Thailand's PTT Public Co Ltd
to build two gas plants.
The ethane and gas separation plants will be located in Map
Ta Phut with a capacity of 800 million standard cubic feet per
day each.
Completion of the construction is set for March, 2010 on a
turnkey basis.
Samsung Engineering said in a statement that it has racked
up a combined 3.8 trillion won ($4.05 billion) of orders so far
this year, leaving it on track to achieve its annual target of
5 trillion won.
In August, unlisted South Korean plant builder Daewoo
Engineering Co also won a $130 million order from PTT,
Thailand's top energy firm, to construct a polyethylene plant.
