3 big hospitality players launch raffle to raise funds for elderly

SINGAPORE: Three major hospitality players- Singapore Airlines, Raffles Hotel and East West Executive Travellers, have come together to raise funds for the elderly.

They have organised a raffle which will be launched at a gala dinner at the Raffles Hotel.

Each limited edition raffle ticket contains a reproduction watercolour painting of one of five Raffles Hotels around the world.

All 6,000 tickets, each priced at S$100, are on sale at the gala dinner.

In order to encourage more people to donate, 108-year-old veteran volunteer Teresa Hsu and renowned watercolour artist, 73-year-old Khor Ean Gee are among the invited guests.

Mr Khor, pioneer watercolour artist and founding member of the Singapore Watercolour Society, painted the Raffles Hotels in Singapore, Beijing and Dubai.

The raffle draw will be held on 20th April 2008, and all proceeds will go to the Tsao Foundation's medical outreach to the elderly. The TSAO Foundation is a non-profit organisation dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for older people. The foundation will match the donations dollar-for-dollar.

Prizes include business class tickets on Singapore Airlines and accommodation at the five Raffles Hotels.

If you're interested to get the Raffle tickets, you can contact the East West Executive Travellers at 6238 8488, or at -CNA/vm
