Disapproval rate on Fukuda Cabinet tops 50%: report
(Kyodo) _ The disapproval rate on Prime Minister Yasuo Fukuda's Cabinet stood at 51 percent in the latest poll, surpassing 50 percent for the first time, a Japanese daily reported Monday.
The disapproval rate in the weekend survey was up 6 points from the previous poll in January and the support rate on the Cabinet was the lowest since the Cabinet's launch last September, at 30 percent, down 3 points from January, the Mainichi Shimbun reported.
The daily conducted the telephone survey on 1,043 randomly selected eligible voters across Japan.
