China hopes to avoid full WTO dispute on information-diplomats
GENEVA, May 9 (Reuters) - China is making efforts to resolve
a trade dispute with the United States and European Union over
financial information without it going to a full World Trade
Organisation (WTO) dispute panel, diplomats said on Friday.
Beijing's approach raises hopes the dispute can be settled
amicably without it leading to bitter litigation at the WTO,
which umpires the world trading system.
Brussels and Washington launched the case in March because
they object to the way Beijing regulates f³
