Rob Corddry to headline first movie
LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Rob Corddry, currently
in theaters with "Harold & Kumar Escape From Guantanamo Bay"
and "What Happens in Vegas," has landed his first starring
role.
The former "Daily Show" correspondent will star in "Project
A," an action comedy from Ben Stiller's production company.
Corddry will star as "A," a man trained by the U.S.
government as a Cold War experiment to become the world's
biggest jerk. No director is attached to "Project A," which is
set up at Warner Bros.' New Line division.
The project has been in development at Stiller's Red Hour
shingle for several years, and Corddry has long wanted in on
it.
"I'm slowly working my way up the ladder, starting from
high school drama class," he told the Hollywood Reporter. "I am
hoping this will break my cherry, as it were."
Corddry is preparing to portray former White House press
secretary Ari Fleischer in Oliver Stone's "W," which he will
shoot in June.
