Zimbabwe run-off election on June 27: official

HARARE (AFP) - Zimbabwe's run-off presidential election will take place on June 27, the electoral commision announced on Friday in a government gazette.

"It is hereby notified that the Zimbabwe electoral commission... with the approval of the minister of justice, legal and parliamentary affairs made the following notice: a poll shall be taken on Friday, June 27, 2008, for the purpose of electing a person to the office of president," the notice said.
