Bush in Saudi Arabia to discuss oil
President Bush is in Saudi Arabia to talk with King Abdullah about high oil prices and other issues.
Soaring prices at the gas pump will top Bush's talks on Friday with the king _ their second meeting in four months.
When he met with Abdullah in mid-January, Bush asked the oil-rich nation to increase production to ease rising gas prices. The president got a chilly response. The Saudi oil minister said the kingdom would raise production only when the market justified it, and that production levels appeared normal.
Bush concedes that raising output is difficult because the demand for oil _ particularly from China and India _ is stretching supplies. Besides, any production hike might not lower prices much because some economists say they're being driven up by increased demand, not slowed production.
