Malaysia's Ireka Wins US$12.5 MLN Contract to Build KL Condos

KUALA LUMPUR, July 3 Asia Pulse - Ireka Corporation Bhd (KLSE:8834) has won a contract to build luxury condominiums in Kuala Lumpur for RM540 million (US$12.5 million).

Ireka Corp's subsidiary Ireka Engineering & Construction Sdn Bhd was awarded the contract by Amatir Resources Sdn Bhd.

Amatir is a wholly owned subsidiary of Aseana Properties Ltd, in which Ireka Corp has a 19.6 per cent stake.

Under the contract, Ireka will build four blocks of 12 and 40 storeys (605 units) of luxury condominiums, 4 storeys of car parks, recreation and common facilities blocks in Mukim Batu in Kuala Lumpur, Ireka Corp said in a statement to Bursa Malaysia on June 30.

The completion period for the contract is based on three sections, the final date being 31 December 2010.
