Indonesia Forecast to Spend $US2.4BLN on Technology in 2008
JAKARTA, July 24 Asia Pulse - Spending on information technology in Indonesia is forecast to reach US$2.4 billion this year - up from US$2 billion last year.IT spending in the country was growing by 20% annually, chairman of the association of software of information technology (Aspiluki) Djarot Subiantoro said. The financial and telecommunications sectors accounted for 50% of the spending, Djarot said Wednesday. Earlier, Information Technology Industry Director General Ramon Bangun said that 70% of the spending was for hardware and only 30% for software. (ANTARA)
